Our friends at Procam informed us that they have collected past 8-10 years of runners data which includes their finish time, ranks, category etc. We brainstormed together and thought why not slice and dice this data and see if we can give some interesting insights to the runners. And boom, we were able to do quite a lot of things to give them a personalised running experience. And this is how RWOF was born.
The RWOF is inspired by the scoreboard. You feel happy when you see your name, your score and details on the big screen. Your entire experience is so personalised that you can directly connect to it and at the same time you can look at the bigger picture from your performance point of view.
For every marathon, we do a lot of research as of what kind of runners we will have to cater to. Primarily, we deploy RWOF for Tata Mumbai Marathon, Airtel Delhi Half Marathon, TCSW10K Bangalore, TSK25K Kolkata. For example, runners in bangalore are more tech savvy so we have to ensure that we come up with highly technical data points so that the runner can relate to it whereas in Mumbai, the runner’s needs are a bit different.
